!! Mad Dogs and Cyclists !! 

The fifth annual Winterborne Stickland charity bike ride has recently taken place, with funds raised for the Dorset Air Ambulance. The event was organised by the Crown pub - where the three routes all started.

Cyclists could choose from a 20 mile off-road route taking them up and down Okeford and Bulbarrow Hills and then back via Milton Abbas. There was also a shorter road route or one for all the family. Local crooner, Colin Robins, warmed up his vocal chords by taking part too!

For those who managed to cope with the sweltering heat, there was a BBQ at the Crown and later with live music provided by the village band. This will be the last time landlord James Knott will head the fund-raising, he's off to pastures new later this summer.

In all, this year's event raised a respectable £150!!
