Jealousy - The Enemy of Romance 

 

Jealousy is a feeling that defies description, but we all know how it feels!

There are many potentially successful relationships that have been torn apart by unfounded jealousy. If you are the 'jealous type', ask yourself this question, "Do I feel that this person should be mine?"

If your answer is 'yes', then you must think again. No person is the possession of another. Think about where your belief began. Who, in your life, taught you that men and women should 'possess' each other? This is not the slave trade!

It is quite acceptable never to feel jealous of other people who are simply 'around', and if you would like to change the way you feel, you can. What can you do? How can you make this jealousy feeling disappear?

I help people to change the way they feel by using mental exercises. For reducing jealousy, there are a number of simple exercises that can help. Here is one of them:-

Whenever you feel jealous about another person, later that day, just sit down quietly and think about that person. Think about all the ways that you are similar to that person. Do you have similar hair? Similar clothes? Similar lifestyle? Similar friends? Do you go to the same school, the same shops, or the same clubs? Have you a common interest? Do you both like watching films or dancing? Think of as many similarities as you can.

This can be done with every person of whom you ever feel jealous. One day, you will find that you have become, quite magically, no longer a 'jealous sort'. Feelings can be changed, and jealousy is a habit that can be altered. In my work, I help people to change the way they feel about themselves and their relationships.
