Blandford U3A

Some of Blandford's U3A members at Arundells, Salisbury
Ten Blandford U3A members spent a very pleasant afternoon in Salisbury, having a guided tour of Arundells, Edward Heath's old home.

The house and gardens are open to the public during the summer and a visit was also possible to Mompesson House in the Cathedral Close.

Blandford U3A is one of fourteen University of the Third Age Groups in Dorset. All groups are run by volunteers who provide a great range of interesting activities for healthy retirement years.

Topics include, singing, walking, foreign languages, scrabble, bridge, mahjong, writing, art and art and music appreciation. In the summer and Christmas there are parties.

A twice monthly coffee morning, a monthly lunch group and theatre and other visits are arranged throughout the year.

A discussion group and seminar group are just being started.

All this in Blandford for just fifteen pounds a year, no exams. Everyone is very friendly, do join us, you will be very welcome.
